Farm-themed activities are the children's favourite. children learns about some animals in the farm, how they live, what they eat, what they produce. Young learners can also do some counting, singing, reading and outing activities.Ar (3 years old) was very enthusiastic to find farm set up on his table. He usually create conversation among the animals and the farmer family. He invited the horses to eat some hay, took the duck swimming in the pond, let the pig soaked in the mud and took the boy lay down on the grass with the lambs.
After an hour playing, this is how his farm looked like. He transferred some sheep on the trailer to the grass so they could eat it. He said that the horses were asleep because they were full after eating hay.
I made this stick craft as the hay container and filled it with some coloured-rice. It can be a property for farm sensory play. Ar liked to pour the rice out, then pinched nad put the rice back in the container. It can strengthen his fine-motor skills.
Here are some other farm-themed activities he did.
1. Sensory Activity and Reading Books
2. One-to-One Correspondence
3. Play Dough
4. Hide and Seek
5. Painting a Barn
